Red Tractor Farming

Michigan Agriculture

While career politicians in Lansing push regulations and global policies, I will stand with West Michigan farmers, cutting taxes, defending property rights, and putting Michigan agriculture first.

I will fight to:

  • Strengthen and defend Michigan’s Right to Farm protections to shield farmers from nuisance lawsuits

  • Ensure Generally Accepted Agricultural and Management Practices (GAAMPs) remain science-based and farmer friendly

  • Roll back excessive state regulations that increase costs without improving productivity

  • Stop suburban encroachment policies that threaten long-standing farms

Protect Family Farms from Government Overreach
Lower Costs and Cut Taxes on Farmers
  • Reduce property tax burdens on agricultural land

  • Protect and expand family farm inheritance protections (oppose policies that force land sales)

  • Eliminate unnecessary fees on equipment, fuel, and inputs

  • Oppose new environmental mandates that raise production costs without clear benefit

  • Fight foreign dumping that undercuts Michigan growers (especially cherries, apples, blueberries)

  • Support fair trade not one-sided deals that hurt local farmers

  • Prioritize “America First” sourcing for schools and state programs

Defend Michigan Agriculture from Unfair Trade

  • Expand rural broadband for precision agriculture and market access

  • Improve rural roads and bridges critical for moving crops

  • Support local processing and storage to keep value in Michigan

Invest in Rural Infrastructure (Without Waste)

  • Expand cottage food laws and direct-to-consumer sales

  • Support farmers markets, food hubs, and local processing

  • Keep more food dollars in West Michigan communities

Strengthen Local Food Systems & Ag Economy

Putting Michigan Families First in Education

Restore Parental Rights

  • Guarantee parents full access to curriculum, reading lists, and school materials

  • Require schools to notify parents about major decisions affecting their child

  • Oppose ideological agendas in classrooms. We must focus on core academics, not politics

  • Expand options for school choice, including charter schools and homeschooling support

Refocus on Core Academics

  • Prioritize reading, writing, math, and science proficiency

  • End social promotion. Students must meet standards before advancing

  • Strengthen early literacy programs to ensure every child can read by 3rd grade

  • Reinforce civics education centered on American history and constitutional principles

Support Teachers, Not Bureaucrats

  • Increase classroom funding while reducing administrative overhead

  • Protect teachers from political pressure and classroom disruption

  • Expand merit-based pay incentives to reward high-performing educators

  • Streamline certification for skilled professionals to enter teaching (especially in trades and STEM)

Expand Career & Technical Education (CTE)

  • Invest in vocational training, skilled trades, and apprenticeships

  • Partner with local employers in manufacturing, agriculture, and construction

  • Promote alternatives to four-year college. Good-paying jobs without student debt

  • Align high school programs with real workforce needs in Western Michigan

Increase Transparency & Accountability

  • Require schools to publicly report student outcomes and spending

  • Audit failing school districts and implement turnaround plans

  • Tie funding to performance and student success not bureaucracy

  • Empower local school boards not Lansing to make key decisions

Keep Schools Safe

  • Increase funding for school resource officers and security infrastructure

  • Enforce strict discipline policies to protect students and teachers

  • Support mental health resources that focus on safety and early intervention

  • Maintain zero tolerance for violence and threats in schools

Fiscal Responsibility in Education

  • Ensure education dollars go to classrooms, not bloated administrations

  • Oppose unfunded mandates from Lansing

  • Conduct regular audits to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse

  • Protect taxpayers while still delivering high-quality education

Financial Chart Analysis

Lansing must Live Within Its Means. Put Taxpayers First.

Cap Government Growth

  • Limit annual state spending increases to inflation + population growth

  • Require a supermajority vote for any budget that exceeds this cap

  • Stop unsustainable spending increases that outpace revenue

Cut Waste, Fraud, and Abuse

  • Launch a full forensic audit of state departments

  • Eliminate duplicative programs and unused funds

  • Require every department to justify spending from the ground up (“zero-based budgeting”)

Prioritize Core Services First

Focus spending on:

  • Roads and infrastructure

  • Public safety (police, fire, local services)

  • Veterans and seniors

Cut or reform:

  • Corporate subsidies and “political earmarks”

  • Non-essential state programs

No New Taxes    Fix Spending Instead

  • Oppose any new taxes or hidden fees

  • Reject budget plans that rely on tax hikes to cover overspending

  • Return surplus funds to taxpayers

Michigan doesn’t have a revenue problem. Michigan has a spending problem.

Roll Back Pandemic Era Spending

  • Identify and eliminate temporary programs that became permanent

  • Return state government to pre-pandemic baseline levels

End Budget “Pork” and Backroom Deals

  • Ban last-minute earmarks and political giveaways

  • Require full transparency and minimum review periods before votes

  • Put every line item online for public scrutiny

Defending Freedom    Protecting Families    Standing for Michigan

Michigan's Constitution is clear:

Every person has a right to keep and bear arms for the defense of himself and the state.

  • Defend the Second Amendment and Michigan’s constitutional protections as fundamental rights

  • Oppose any legislation that restricts law-abiding citizens’ ability to own, carry, and use firearms for self-defense

  • Ensure courts and agencies respect this right as equal to all other constitutional freedoms

Support Constitutional Carry in Michigan

  • Back legislation to make Michigan a constitutional carry state, eliminating permit requirements for concealed carry for law-abiding citizens

  • Current proposals in Lansing would remove the need for a permit to carry a concealed pistol

  • End costly fees, bureaucratic delays, and government permission slips

Your rights don’t come from the government, they’re granted by your creator.

Let’s Defend Law-Abiding Gun Owners & Target Criminals

  • Enforce tough penalties for violent criminals and illegal firearm possession

  • Oppose policies that punish responsible gun owners instead of criminals

  • Protect due process rights and prevent government overreach

“We don’t disarm citizens, we disarm criminals.”

Stop Gun Confiscation and Overreach

I Oppose:

  • Gun bans targeting commonly owned firearms

  • Arbitrary “gun-free zones” that leave citizens defenseless

  • Confiscation schemes that violate due process

Protect Local Control & Second Amendment Sanctuaries

  • Support counties and communities that have declared themselves Second Amendment sanctuaries

  • Over half of Michigan counties have already taken this step

  • Prevent Lansing from overriding local constitutional protections

Promote Responsible Ownership Without Mandates

  • I Encourage:

    • Firearm safety education

    • Voluntary training and responsible storage

  • I Oppose:

    • Government mandates that burden responsible citizens

    • One-size-fits-all restrictions on lawful gun ownership
